Larusso
Having graduated from The Academy of Fine
Arts in Chicago and then completing his masters at the
University of Kansas City, Joseph Larusso has accomplished a
great deal by the age of 36. As second generation American
Italian, many of Joseph’s subjects are found in moments in
time everyday life. Strong emotion and rich textures come
to life in these exclusive mixed media and serigraphed
editions. The serigraphs are hand picked silkscreen prints
using between 60-70 colours. The mixed media and giclee
editions start out as giclee prints but to attain depth,
texture and longevity, there are several layers serigraphed
onto them. The prints, whether on paper, clay board or
canvas, are then coated no less than six times with a U.V.
prohibiting varnish. This varnish works to seal and
protect, as well as to intensify the prints rich colour.
Painstaking measures have been taken to reproduce Joseph
Larusso’s original paintings to the highest standards.
