John Newby

Even a casual glance at the enduring work of John Newby reveals an artist who regards children with an embracing affection.  A family oriented father of four himself, John has also drawn inspiration from observations of children in daycare centers, minor sports and everyday living. 

Compared favorably to Norman Rockwell, this talented Canadian has been praised for his ability to create consistently and uncannily a feeling of familiarity in the beholder- as though these warm and cozy images are a glimpse at our very own lives.  Feelings of our own childhood experiences or thoughts of our beloved children are instantly and magically delivered.
